Today I went with my daughter and 3 year old grandaughter (Sarah) for her first eye exam.  She was so cute, when she came out of the doctor's office she had to try on all of the eye glasses.  She wanted a pair so bad, but thank God she did not need them.

My Mantle Decorated for Valentine's Day

Well, what do you think?  I have since taken down the little tree, just did not want it up any longer.  Maybe spring will come sooner if I take down all the winter stuff!!  I sell Longaberger baskets and my sister and I made the wreath several years ago and use my baskets all over the hous.   I love this mantle and enjoy decorating it for all the different holidays.

My Noodle Board

This is my new noodle board or some call it a dough board.  I love it!!  A young lady near me has the neatest little shop and does lots of neat woodwork, she made it for me, but I antiqued it to match my walls that I painted half way up.  Only thing, every time I cook, I have to lift the board up and place somewhere else, so does that mean that I don't have to cook as often?  LOL

This is one of my goals for 2011!

This Is Where I Want To Be!

Oh, how my heart yearns for sunshine, water, sand and anything besides snow and cold weather!!  We are expecting more snow tomorrow and I am tired of it!!  I have been looking through all of my seed catalogs and dreaming of a flower and veggie garden.   Anyone else ready for spring and summer?

I subbed at the high school today and so enjoyed seeing the kids that I taught in 5th grade.  They are so grown up now, but so sweet and they seemed glad to see me.  Well, most of them did!  LOL

So, for now I guess I will look at my beach pics and dream of being there soon!!

Delish Surprise

My hubby sure surprised me today!  He had a doctors appt. in Charleston and of course I wanted to do some shopping while there so I went into TJMaxx.  He went into Incredible Edibles and bought me a bouquet of fruit and strawberries dipped in chocolate!!  How sweet is that?  I think I will keep him!  LOL

Please remember him in your prayers.  He had a CT scan and it showed a spot at the end of his bile duct so now he has to go for a MRI and an endoscopy to get it all checked out.   I know that God will be with us and I am trying not to worry, but I can't help it.  Please pray.

Raining here, but has warmed up some.  I have to work tomorrow for a teacher in the fifth grade, I sub part time.  Better get to bed.

It's Snowing Again!

Well, it's snowing again here in southern West Virginia!!  School has already called to say that we are on a two hour delay!  The kids love it and so do the teachers.  Did I tell you that I am a retired elementary school teacher?  I just retired last June, but I still substitute 1 or 2 days a week.  I think I stay busier now  than when I worked full time!  I babysit my youngest grandaughter one day a week, sub, try to maintain a half decent house, and of course, stay on my computer way too much!

I better get to bed, it's getting late!

I'm Cold!!

I don't know about you guys, but I am cold!!  We got more snow last night and today which gives us about 5 or 6 inches total.   Very, very cold here in WV!!!!   Probably more snow and colder where some of you live. 

I still don't have my "good" computer back so I can't post any pictures.  Hopefully I will get it back on Monday. :)

I don't know about you all, but I really need to go on a diet!!  I know I say that every week or so, but I have got to go on a diet.  I also need to get some exercise.  I am trying to be more conscious of healthier food intake and plan on making one of Dr. Oz's green drinks, I have the items in the fridge and plan to do so tomorrow.  Hopefully, I can down it!  Also,  read some interesting material on the good effects of drinking green tea so today I made myself and hubby a nice cup of tea.  How about you?  Any good healthy advice?

Sorry I haven't posted in a while!  My good laptop is being worked on and I am using another one which I do not like very well.  Hopefully, I will get my "good" one back soon.  

I am just loving my new Kindle that hubby bought me for Chirstmas.  Anyone else have one?  Can you recommend some good books?  I also downloaded the app for my Droid.  So cool!

Well, today is 1/1/11, ten more days and it will be 1/11/11 and ten months later it will be 11/11/11!  Here's hoping this year will be filled with lots and lots of blessings for everyone.  Don't forget to eat cabbage today, my parents always did this on New Years Day, one of our traditions.  What are some of your traditions for today? 

Hubby and I didn't do anything last night.  We just got home from the hospital at 5:00 and really didn't feel like it.  I barely stayed awake to kiss him at midnight I was so tired!! LOL
